Before starting a software date, make a note of the activated hierarchies (in Setup – Object Management)!

• Decompress the zip file on your PC. It includes:
  – The update file: secuapp.tar
  – All currently available test sequences
  – The data sheet and operating instructions in German and English
  – All files required for operation with the CF card
  – All files required for data exchange with PS3
• Save the content of the decompressed zip file to a CompactFlash card.
• Switch the SECUSTAR on and log in as administrator.
• Insert the CF card into the slot at the back of the test system. If the CF card is of the correct type, namely type II, and if the system is able to access the card, the yellow LED at the right-hand side of the slot lights up.
• Change to the Setup menu and tap the Update icon.
• Tap Yes if you want to back up your data.
• Tap OK in the window which then appears in order to start the update.

Note!
The update takes about 30 minutes and mains operation as well as a charged battery are required.
Make sure that the battery is adequately charged before starting the update. If the battery is depleted the update will not be completed, in which case the test instrument will have to be sent to our service department to run the update once again.

All data which have not yet been saved to the database are irretrievably lost during the software update! A security prompt must first be acknowledged with the OK button. We assume no responsibility for any data loss.

Automatic sequence:

1. Update preparation: advancing blue bar
2. Operating system is rebooted: initial screen with an advancing blue bar – pause for approx. 30 seconds
3. The update is loaded (approx. 7 min.): two advancing blue bars
4. Operating system is rebooted: initial screen with an advancing blue bar
5. Calibration prompt
6. Login window appears
7. The software update has been completed and the CF card can be removed after pressing the button at the left-hand side of the slot.
8. Reactivate the hierarchies which had already been activated before the update.
9. You can now reload your data from the data.xml file on the CF card.
